History
Devonshire Mill was a water mill used for grinding flour, now one of the few surviving in East Yorkshire.
Much of the original mechanism including the water wheel, and grind stones still survive.
Operations finally ceased in the 1950’s when Mr Cains, the miller, retired.
Because of its historical interest the mill is a grade II listed building
